GURELAN integrates continuous improvement in its management system. Its technical innovating, organizing and financing capacity, is noticed on its research works developed in the different projects in which GURELAN participates. Its strategy consists in I + D investing, in accordance to its corporate philosophy of continuous revision and seeking the best quality in its production.

In an environment full of sudden changes, this research practice renders GURELAN its own technical development that allows GURELAN to offer better products and services to satisfy its clients.

In this framework, GURELAN has developed projects with the collaboration of the Technological Centre Lurederra and the Food Technology and Innovation La Rioja Centre (CITA).

Projects

  • Objective:
    • Develop a new grainless substrate for a fast mycelium growth, that will provide quicker and more homogeneous growth, and increase its disease resistance, and that can also be used as inoculant for the casing soil.
  • Project developed by Gurelan S. Coop
  • Financed by the “Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI)”.
  • Date: 2012 – 2014.

  • Objectives:
    • Develop a new mass production line, and a new spawn format marketing.
    • Technology and pharmacy industry equipment integration, and their implementation in the commercial spawn elaboration process, reinforcing the quality and the reliability guarantees of the final product.
    • Automation and control of the raw materials and process parameters, which allows an even more homogeneous product.
  • Project developed by Gurelan S. Coop.
  • Financed by the Navarre Government.
  • Date: 2010 – 2013.

  • Objective:
    • Improving the spawn elaboration production process, using new materials and technology, increasing the process protection against contaminating agents in order to obtain a quality product.
  • Project developed by Gurelan S. Coop.
  • Financed by the “Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI)” and the Navarre Government.
  • Date: 2008 – 2010.

  • Objective:
    • Developing a biological pretreatment of the logging and cultivating waste process, that is performed by the basidiomycete pleurotus ostreatus, in order to reduce the expenses and environment impact of bioethanol production.
  • Project developed by Gurelan S. Coop., “National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER)”, Acciona Biomass”, Navarre Public University and Bioterna.
  • Financed by the Navarre Government.
  • Date: 2007 – 2011.

  • Objectives:
    • Specific inoculants development, for use in substrates for the different species.
    • Specific substrate adapted to the characteristics and needs of each species of mushroom development for their cultivation.
    • Prepare the necessary technology for the cultivation of each species.
  • Project developed by Gurelan S. Coop.
  • Financed by the “Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI)” and the Navarre Government.
  • Date: 2001 – 2003.

  • Objectives:
    • Development of an edible mushroom variety differentiation method, based on molecular biology techniques. Particularly, using the PCR tecniques (PolymerasaChainReaction) and RFLPs (RestrictionFragmentLenghPolymorphism).
  • Project developed by Gurelan S. Coop. and the Agricultural Production Department, Navarre Public University.
  • Financed by the Interministerial Science and Technology Comission (CICYT)
  • Date: 1993 – 1995.
  • Article:

Artícle Use of molecular markers … Agaricus bisporus

  • Objectives:
    • Obtainment of new varieties of button mushrooms and also other species, either by crossbreeding or by somatic mushroom protoplast hybridation.
    • Development of an identification methodology by their corresponding isoenzymes’ electrophoresis.
  • Project developed by Gurelan S. Coop. and the “Biological Investigation Centre (CIB)”, research centre in the “Spanish National Research Council (CSIC)”.
  • Financed by the “Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI)”.
